EQUIPMENT and ARMORS:

Before you can start fighting monsters, you will need equipment.  There are three types of equipment: Weapons, Armors, and Treasures.

Weapns are used in attacking monsters.  They come in a wide variety of types and sizes.  The main thing to remember about weapons is to make sure you 'wield' your weapon before you begin fighting.  One other thing to keep in mind is weapons are either one or two handed.  Keep in mid that you can not use a shield while wielding a two handed weapon (since you only have two hands).

Armor provides you with an extra layer of defense against attack.  There are many types of armors available to you.  To use armors type 'wear <item>', and to remove it type 'remove <item>'.  You can also use 'wear all' and 'remove all' to wear or remove all the armor you have at once.

Treasures is just that.  You can sell it for gold, or once you join a class, you can donate it for experience points.  You can sell any type of item by going to a shop and typing 'sell <item>' or to sell everything use 'sell all'.

Most players on overdrive are more than happy to help you get equipment when you're starting out; just ask.  After all, they were newbies at one time too.  Just don't ask the wizards (called Overdrivers) since they are not allowed to give equipment to players.

Recently Overdrive has implemented Color Quality tags for weapons, armors and treasures.  Players can set up their color settings to reflect the quality of an item: Legendary, Epic, Superior, Good, Normal or Quest.  Each on of those can be set up for a different color, and the color can be chosen by the player.  The Overdriver who created the item sets the quality of the item.  Here is an example of colors and what they look like when a player uses the command 'armors' :

This player has Blue set up for Superior Quality items and Purple for Epic Quality items.

Like I said before the color of the quality items is totally up to the player themselves and not the Wizard.  The Wizard just sets the quality of the item.

Another good command to use when playing is the command 'inv' inv displays all the equipment you have on your character, if it's worn or not, wielded or not.  This is what 'inv' look like with colors:
